I'm excited to announce that Fleura will be taking some time off from her lure coursing & racing career to spend some time in the whelping box in the Fall 2023/Spring 2024.
Fleura is a fantastic performance dog with a real drive to win. She is a very active dog, who will run laps in the yard. She gets along very well with other dogs, and loves to play in big groups. She is a serious, confident dog in public, but silly and funny at home. She is a multiple Best in Field winner with a very consistently strong lure coursing & racing career over several years. She comes from a unique pedigree with some top Open Field Coursing & European racing dogs included. Fleura made history in 2022 by winning Best in Event at the AKC National Lure Coursing Championships to become the first Afghan awarded the National Field Champion title. She was also high scoring Afghan at the 2019 NLCC in her first couple months starting Lure Coursing. She is also the 2020 & 2022 #1 LGRA racing Afghan. She rapidly finished her LGRA championship with tough competition. Ingvar is a powerful boy with great structure. He has a comical personality with his friends and is a calm, serious, confident dog with others. Ingvar was the Best of Breed AKC lure coursing winner at the 2017 & 2022 AHCA National, the ASFA Best of Breed & Best in Event winner at the 2021 AHCA National, and was BOB at the 2021 ASFA II. He's been a consistent runner for years and brings both a line breeding on some of the exceptional performing dogs behind Fleura, as well as introducing some older dogs who are unique to modern pedigrees. I hope to preserve the consistently strong performance from these two and maintain structurally sound, medium-sized dogs. I anticipate patterned coats of varying quantity and very strong prey drive. For this reason, preference will be given to active lure coursing, racing and/or open field coursing homes. |
