Hela made her debut in lure coursing, QCing with her father and then running both days of the trial. She ran great, and had some excellent scores. On Saturday, she put in a great run for BOB against Json and had the better first half of the course, but with it being her fourth run of the day and her being so new she was clearly getting tired by the end and he had a well-deserved win. On Sunday, she put in a great run against Crue in finals, but just couldn't quite pass him in the final stretch. He was fresh, having only run Sunday, so I was super proud how well she hung in there against such a nice running dog. She walked away from the weekend with a major and six points, so she's off to a nice start for her FC. I'm excited to see how she does with more conditioning!
Sam also ran really well this weekend, and ran harder than he has in the past. He ended up placing second on Saturday and third on Sunday, earning three more points and leaving him needing a single point for his FC. He handled himself very well this weekend and I was proud of him.
